The Barn on the Pemi is a three-story, 10,000 square foot barn that spent 177 years housing livestock and storing potatoes on the Peverly Farm in Canterbury before being taken apart board by board and rebuilt on a spot overlooking the Pemigewasset River, next to the Common Man's Italian Farmhouse in Plymouth. The open-framed interior keeps its original 1840 posts, beams and trusses, with three-story windows, wide-planked pine floors, handmade farm tables, white-washed cross-back bistro chairs, a grand staircase, built-in table risers, two bars, a fieldstone fireplace, rustic chandeliers and air conditioning and heat for events year-round. It holds up to 300 guests. French doors open onto a birch-framed terrace with mountain views for cocktails, and a path leads to a flower-filled glass greenhouse, the ceremony setting from Memorial Day weekend through October. Rental is $8,000 on a Friday or Saturday from May through November, $6,000 Sunday through Thursday in that season and $4,000 from December through April, each covering a six-hour event and a wedding-night guestroom at The Common Man Inn & Spa. Our own kitchen handles the food, from family-style Farm to Table menus at $45 to $85 per guest to plated dinners, buffets, lobster bakes and chef-attended stations.

Centerpieces, cake cutting sets, favors and place cards are not provided.
