The Providence Athenaeum is a historic library on Benefit Street in Providence, where couples say their vows surrounded by thousands of books while guests watch from two levels. The full building rental ($6,500, or $5,500 January to June) includes all three floors, the mezzanine for the ceremony and photos, the restored Art Room as a wedding party suite, and six event hours. The book-lined Reading Room is also available for receptions only ($4,500, or $3,500 January to June). Receptions seat 80 with dancing or 100 cocktail-style. Catering by Easy Entertaining starts at $98 per guest.
