Rosecliff is a historic Newport mansion and the only museum property of The Preservation Society of Newport County that hosts weddings. Couples have exclusive use of the museum and grounds for a 5-hour evening event from 6 to 11 p.m., with seated dinners for up to 220 guests across the Ballroom and the Salon. Ceremonies are held in the Salon from April through December or on the back lower lawn from June through September. The 2026 rental is $16,000 to $40,000 depending on month and day, plus a $4,000 preparation and clean-up fee. Catering comes from one of four approved caterers, an approved planner is required, and hosts must be Preservation Society members.

Taxes & fees: Standard tables are $20 each and standard chairs $16 each. Event house attendants, the ladies room attendant and the museum custodian are $36 per person per hour. A Newport Police Officer ($80 per hour) is required for all events, and a Newport Fire Fighter ($80 per hour) for 200 or more guests. Staff are present 30 minutes before and after the event. A 50% non-refundable deposit secures the date. Specialty rentals, tents and valet parking are quoted on request.
